Social media sensation Emma Chamberlain has been working with Louis Vuitton for a minute now, making her Met Gala debut in a gold dress by the brand last fall and attending several of their shows.
This week, she made the trip to Paris to see the brand’s latest releases on the penultimate day of Paris Fashion Week, and took WWD with her.
“My pre-show breakfast. He looks gorgeous. I always order a bit of everything because there are so many delicious things on the menu. The highlight of this breakfast was definitely the chocolate croissant, or “pain au chocolat” in French (I don’t speak French at all LOL). Eating a solid breakfast is crucial during fashion week to prepare you for chaos and turmoil.
“Around 12 o’clock, my hair and makeup team arrived, as well as a film crew who were filming my day. The room was definitely packed and hectic, but that kind of energy always makes me excited for the day. Everyone is so fun to be there, so it was almost like a pre-show party in my room (except we drank coffee instead of cocktails).”
“It’s time to put on my runway outfit, chosen with the help of Louis Vuitton and my stylist. I love collaborating with others for my runway looks because it always creates a more unique outfit. I have I tend to dress very consistently and working with others helps me step out of my comfort zone and choose things I wouldn’t normally choose.
“I’m shooting last minute photos of my outfit before I go to the show! Kudos to the cameraman for running around with me all day with that heavy camera…”
“Is it awkward? Type of. Seeing someone take a selfie is a lot less cool than the selfie itself, but that’s okay, you gotta do what you gotta do. Also, in my defense, we were stuck in traffic on the way to the show and I was bored. Taking selfies killed some time.
“Louis Vuitton always takes my most incredible photos of us in our outfits, so here I am posing for it. My outfit for this show was simple but exciting. Everything fits me perfectly and exactly as I wanted. Often when I go to fashion shows I like to dress up more than usual, but for this show I wanted to wear something that I would wear in my everyday life.
“One of my favorite looks from the show! I’m obsessed with the suit and tie look and need to recreate it myself ASAP. The baggy pants and colorful tie remind me of the gems I see in the This outfit reminds me of my favorite movie, ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ As silly as it sounds, ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ has a lot of interesting and inspiring clothes.
“Change of outfit for the after party! I was so excited to wear two looks that day because usually I only have time to wear one. I had a few hours between the show and after the party to change and was thrilled. Red has been my favorite color to wear lately, so this outfit was AMAZING!”
“At the end of the evening, I found myself at the LouLou restaurant for dinner. It was the perfect place to end the day. I ate truffle pizza, vodka pasta and tiramisu and it was delicious.
