Today the Blacks In Technology Foundation (BIT) announced its partnership with Northwestern Mutual to create higher levels of diversity in Milwaukee’s tech industry by funding 20 Udacity nanodegree scholarships for Milwaukee residents.

Udacity’s nanodegrees provide enrolled participants with the practitioner-level skills necessary to successfully transition into a career in technology through 80 to 120 hours of coursework, comprising up to five courses. Funding from Northwestern Mutual will support 20 nanograde scholarships for courses that provide an industry-leading curriculum, career-readiness training, and mentorship opportunities, continuing to grow the pipeline of talent and fill the nearly 90,000 open technology industry jobs available in the Milwaukee area.
