ET Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien is expected to announce that linebacker Brian Cushing (knee), safety Marcus Burley (hamstring), defensive tackle Jadeveon Clowney (foot) and cornerback A.J. Bouye (ankle) will miss Sunday’s preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Texans have already ruled out linebacker Jadeveons Clowney for Sunday’s game, as well.
Cushing, Burley and Clowney are expected to be on the sideline for the Texans’ final preseason game.
The news comes just one day after the Texans traded linebacker Brian Orakpo to the Tennessee Titans.
The move was seen as an attempt to replace Orakpa, who was placed on injured reserve last week with a hamstring injury.
Houston signed Orakpos left tackle, Austin Pasztor, in March.
The team has also moved back four positions on its depth chart in a bid to replace a pair of offensive tackles.
