Couric was sworn in to host the CBS Evening News on Monday night as the host of CBS Evening.
It’s the first show on a network in which CBS News will not be broadcast on a daytime network, though it will be broadcast by CBS All Access.
Courico said she’s been a journalist since she was 8 years old, and she said she is an accomplished one.
Courica’s husband, the late Steve Couric, also is a journalist and former host of The Steve Courics Show on ABC.
Courich also hosts the CBS Morning News on Sunday mornings.
Courics new role is in the same vein as that of CNN anchor Jeff Zucker who was previously the anchor of NBC’s Today show.
Courice is an ABC News anchor and host.
Cours role will not have any obvious connection to CNN.
CNN is in negotiations with Couric’s former employer, BuzzFeed News, to create a new news division, according to a person familiar with the matter.
BuzzFeed News is owned by News Corp. BuzzFeed is a unit of News Corp.’s parent company, News Corp, and the news division was not disclosed in an internal memo about the news organization.
Couriccio is expected to be the first person to join BuzzFeed News and will be based in New York City.
BuzzFeed will be a news and entertainment company that aims to connect with a younger audience with content and services that appeal to younger audiences.
BuzzFeed also is in talks to create its own news division.
CNN, owned by Time Warner, is the No. 2 U.S. news network and has a combined reach of about 2 billion people.
Couris current employer, NBCUniversal, said in a statement that Couric would be joining its NBCUniversal TV News unit in 2019.
Couri’s contract with NBCUniversal ends in 2020.
BuzzFeed has been a strong advertiser for CNN in recent years and the company’s most prominent brand is the BuzzFeed logo.
BuzzFeed said it will begin testing its own content for BuzzFeed News in 2018.
Couriac is expected be paid $1 million per episode, a person with knowledge of the contract told The Associated Press on Monday.
Couricism first appeared on the Tonight Show in 2009 and has been on CBS Evening and on NBC’s Morning News in recent months.
She was a guest on the daytime news shows ABC News and CBS Evening before being fired from CNN in 2016.
Couricer will not work as a CNN correspondent, CBS Evening news director Alex Hirschhorn said in an email Monday.
The NBC News Channel and CBS News are the only daytime news networks in the U..
S., so Couric will not need to work for those networks.
Courican will also work for the CBS News team on the upcoming season of ABC’s The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
The show is a series of short interviews and segments that aired over two nights last month.
The series features a variety of topics.
The network has not announced any plans to revive the program.
Couriche, 34, was named host of the NBC News Sunday Night at 8:00 p.m. show in May.
She said she hopes to be a full-time anchor for the network for at least two years.
Couricia’s husband Steve Courico died in January.
Couriced is a veteran investigative reporter and news producer who previously worked for the Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal.
She joined CNN in 2002 as an associate producer and became senior correspondent.
